In Autumn 2022 I'll be starting work as a PhD Candidate at De Montfort University, looking at the prompt "The Myth of Inclusivity: exploring barriers to representation in stand-up comedy through Leicester Comedy Festival’s archive (1994-)"

This PhD is focused in performance studies and festival studies, and will produce new paradigms to remove barriers to engagement in stand up comedy. I'll be updating this page with excerpts of my research as it arises.

So far I have presented my research topic at "The Cultural Economy of Comedy" conference in Leicester in February 2023, and I will be talking about Higher Education and careers at The University of Hull as a keynote speaker on May 17th 2023.
